Reach for something else when
- Sets that need a fixed seed to hold one subject frame to frame. GPT Image takes no seed; Seedream 4.5 does.
- Legible type and logos. Seedream 5.0 Pro renders dense text.
- Custom-trained products. Product Lock runs on its own trained model.
In Misu
- GPT Image 2.5 Flare, 2.5 Sunburst and GPT Image 2 are the first three models in the Generate picker.
- A Quality control sets the tier at submit time: Draft, Light, Standard or Max on 2.5; Draft, Standard or High on GPT Image 2.
- On Auto, GPT Image 2 is the default for creative and editorial stills, and the route when a character and a product are both selected.
- The Character Set video pack derives its extra identity plates on GPT Image 2.
- When the Director writes the prompt, it writes natural prose, which this family reads best. Up to six references ride along from the composer.

Which GPT Image to pick
GPT Image 2.5 Flare
OpenAI's newest everyday model. Higher quality than GPT Image 2 at half the latency. The default for most shots.
GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst
The precision model. Tighter control across edits and better reference fidelity, built for campaign creative and product stills. Slower.
GPT Image 2
The previous generation, with Standard for editorial work and High for premium hero finals.

Prompting it for fashion and product
Write in sentences. GPT Image reads a paragraph the way an art director would read a brief: setting, light, subject, mood, in plain language.
Draft cheap, finish high. Find the composition at Draft or Light, then run the same prompt at Standard or Max. The words stay; only the tier moves.
Use Sunburst for the edit, Flare for the idea. When the product has to match its reference exactly, or a retouch has to land on the first pass, Sunburst is the one.
Attach the product and the model as separate references and say which is which. "The woman from the first image carries the bag from the second."

GPT Image questions
Is GPT Image available in Misu?
Yes. GPT Image 2.5 Flare, GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst and GPT Image 2 are all in the Generate picker and on Canvas. Image generation is included on every paid plan.
Flare or Sunburst?
Flare for most shots: faster, and the everyday default. Sunburst when an edit has to be precise or a product has to match its reference closely. It is slower, not dearer.
What does it cost in tokens?
At current rates Standard is about 30 tokens an image on Flare, Sunburst and GPT Image 2. Draft is about 4, Light about 8, and Max or High about 118. The Studio shows the exact cost before you run.
Can GPT Image keep a model consistent across a set?
With references, yes. It has no seed, though, so when a set needs a fixed seed the Director picks a model that takes one.
Can I use the images commercially?
Yes. Content generated on a paid plan is yours, under a full commercial licence.
