Misu vs Claid
A Claid.ai alternative for fashion campaigns
Where each one fits.
Claid is a product-photo toolkit with a strong API: enhance, upscale, cut out, restage. Misu is a studio for the campaign itself, with a licensed cast that stays the same from the first still to the last clip.

01
What each tool is built for
Claid began with image enhancement and grew into a suite: upscaling, background removal, AI photoshoots, AI fashion and video, all reachable through an API as well as the web app. Its fashion product turns flat-lay or ghost-mannequin photos into on-model images, with a model library, face swap, and custom model identities built for a brand as a service. It is a good fit for teams that want to plug image processing into a PIM, a DAM or their own pipeline.
Misu is built around a shoot rather than a single image operation. A brand casts a model, adds its products, and briefs a campaign once. Character Lock keeps the same face through every image and every clip; Product Lock trains on 5 to 20 photos of a product so its details hold in every scene. Wardrobe dresses a model in the brand's own garments, with hair, makeup and pose, and the same look can be taken into video.

03
When Claid is the better pick
Enhancement and upscaling
If your existing photos are good but soft or small, Claid's enhancement is its home ground, with very high output resolutions on its top plan.
Automating an image pipeline
With an API from its Pro plan and batch processing, it slots into a PIM or DAM so every new SKU is processed without anyone opening an app.
Garment-accurate on-model from a flat-lay
Its fashion tool is built around keeping the real garment from a flat-lay or ghost-mannequin photo, which suits high-SKU catalogues.
04
When Misu is the better pick
A campaign with direction
Campaigns are briefed once, with presets for a PDP set, lookbook, social drop or campaign hero, and brand guidelines apply to every shot automatically.
A licensed cast, ready now
Cast from the Model Board today instead of commissioning a custom identity. Every model on the Main Board is a licensed AI twin of a real model.
Styling, not just dressing
Wardrobe handles garments, hair, makeup and pose together, and saves the result as an Outfit you can reopen or take into a full shoot.
Video that matches the stills
The same model and product carry from stills into video, so the film looks like the campaign around it.
05
Using both
The overlap is smaller than it looks. A brand can run its catalogue through an enhancement API every day and still need a campaign each season. Misu takes clean product photos from any source as references, and finished Misu images can be upscaled for print inside the Studio or in whichever tool you already use.

Questions people ask
Is Claid cheaper than Misu?
At the entry level, yes. Claid has a free tier and a $9 plan; Misu starts at €29 a month. The difference is what a run produces: Misu is priced for campaign imagery with a licensed, consistent cast, not for single-image operations.
Does Misu have an API like Claid?
Misu has an MCP connector, so Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP agent can generate with your products and cast. A full API is part of the Enterprise plan. If a self-serve image-processing API is the main requirement, Claid is the more direct fit today.
Can Misu turn a flat-lay into an on-model photo?
Yes. Flat-Lay to Model is a ready-made technique, and Wardrobe dresses a model in your garments with styling. For the most faithful garment detail, lock the product first.
How does Misu keep a model's face the same?
Character Lock. A cast model or your own trained character is locked for a campaign, and every still and clip in it uses the same identity.
Who owns what I make in Misu?
You do. Every plan includes full commercial rights to every generated asset, worldwide.
