Ad recipes · New drop

The new-drop ad.
Something just landed.

A launch needs three things: that it is new, what it is, and when. These recipes put them in that order, and one of them needs no picture at all.

The drop: a sample ad for a bath collection, reading “The bath edit” and “Out Friday. Online first”

01 / When it works

Use it when
it fits the job.

  1. 01

A collection, a drop or a restock with a date you can state.

  2. 02

An email header or a link banner announcing a collection.

  3. 03

A one-word concept, a material or a colour, that survives being repeated.

02 / The recipes

Five recipes.
Pick one to start.

Each is drawn by the Ads studio on a sample picture, with sample words for an imaginary product. Yours takes your product, your colours and your words.

03 / How it's built

Real layouts.
Live type.

The drop layout carries a tag, a headline and a when-and-where line above the product. The banner puts the words on a colour block beside the picture, which is the shape of an email header. The stacked word repeats one word down the frame in alternating colours and is finished on a flat colour.

What to watch

  • Use the date and the channel you will honour. The sample line is a placeholder.
  • Keep the tag to two words. It labels the drop; the headline carries it.
  • A banner needs a picture that survives a crop to half its width.

Questions

Plainly.
Before you ask.

Can I post a drop from Misu?

Yes. Publish posts an ad to Instagram, a Facebook Page or LinkedIn once you have connected the account under Settings. Nothing is posted until you press Publish.

Do I need a photo for a drop?

The stacked word needs none. The drop and the banner use your product's picture, which Misu takes from the product you choose.
